A VISION AND MISSION
FOR THE 21ST CENTURY
The members and friends of Fanwood Presbyterian Church are beloved servants of Messiah Jesus with a vision of "Growing in God's Love and Serving All God's People." Knowing who we are, we commit our lives to "Rejoicing, Renewing and Reaching Out" in these ways:
1. Rejoicing through praise-filled worship and joyful lives.
(upward movement of and toward God's Spirit.)
2. Renewing through ministries of prayer, care, faith formation and fellowship.
(inward movement of and toward God's Spirit.)
3. Reaching Out through local, regional, and global missions in Word and deed.
(outward movement of and toward God's Spirit.)
BEING OR BECOMING A PRESBYTERIAN
God comes to us in free and undeserved favor in the person of Jesus Christ who lived, died, and rose for us that that we might have eternal and abundant life in Christ and serve him in the world.
As Christ’s disciples, called to minister in his name, we seek to continue his mission of teaching the truth, feeding the hungry, healing the broken, and welcoming strangers. God sends the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, giving us the energy, intelligence, imagination, and love to be Christ’s faithful disciples in the world and seek thoughtful solutions to the challenges of our time.
We, of course, welcome persons of all ethnicities, religious backgrounds, and sexualities who want to learn more about and/or share Christ's Way, Truth, and Life together.
